Continents leading in the number of universities in the top 100 in the world: Europe - 35 educational institutions, North America - 30 universities and Asia - 26 universities.
The palm among countries, as expected, goes to the USA; the 100 best educational institutions in the world include 27 from this country, that is, more than a quarter. However, in relation to the size of the territory and population, the clear leader of the best educational institutions in the world is Great Britain. It houses 17 universities out of the top hundred.
In total, we can conclude that almost half of the best higher education institutions in the world are located in only 2 countries - the USA and the UK.
