Various disciplines do everything possible to make a student aware of good study habits. To spend 10 minutes of every hour practicing with hands and the feet in whatever drills you learn is desired. Even if your mind and body do not interact at first is okay. You still are working the basics, which eventually will become a part of you.
No matter what you practice. Moreover, it is the habit of maintaining strict discipline when you practice. But still you maintain freedom of movement with minimal restrictions.
This becomes possible when your mind takes over. One has to dispel the bad from the good if not every time you do something interference will set in and the mind eventually crumbles. Everything you learn everything you arrive at is done or should be done with discipline. That is why drilling yourself over and over again with a teacher to correct the minor errors and guide you through the hard spots and help you develop your good habits.
As one trains you learn all the little things, which will help you later in life. If not you will miss the mysteries of this art. Also to empty the mind and to leave everything behind i.e., worries and woes and let yourself follow the right path. With this information and with the culmination of ones training this will produce a better-rounded individual. What’s happening in these above paragraphs is that one must never forget what was taught them. To forget is to be lost, forever. You'll never find the true path. As you learn things it may seem difficult but now add then use meditation.
After many years things will come to you, as they never were before. Your judgment changes, your feelings change, you become a master of your own destiny so to speak. One must not be afraid the minds perplexity seems to overwhelm some.
This can be a chink in your armor. Look for this in others. Evidently it has shown you that your opponent’s strategy can be broken. Another point to remember 16 7W the hands and feet are not the only answer.

To train for a thousand days leads one
to train for ten thousand days.

To seize a person’s long sword in the art of war is a thing to remember. This is learned through the postures of the 5 Kata. These must be remembered. The freedom as expressed by the mind is in the rhythm of the sword.
The mind and the body must act as one. There will always be people who are good and there will be people who are bad. The person whose attitude is one of single-mindedness and is of good virtue will win. Remember when practicing with an opponent the one mind is idle or not in a state of Mushin will be the one who is caught snort. So you =must always follow the path that you practice. You must never hurry or do things in haste. You will lose other wise. A person who fights takes a path of a thousand days. So when he does so he must do it step by step.
For the Bushi if one acts and thinks carefully he is apt to be a strategic planner and will be victorious. It is the unskillful warrior who thinks of victory all the time, this is a losing attitude. One must take care when traveling down this path. To rush would be of no value. The path of value is in the mind. For example, if an opponent strikes and is not in a frame of mind of the path that he follows he will lose. If the mind set is right and a person follows the correct path, no matter if there is one opponent or ten opponents the skillful warrior who's mind is in a state of Mushin will overcome the greater obstacles.
In Bujutsu as in the path of War what is done proper and above board and with the proper insight one may still attain salvation through the great Buddha. Either with a thousand days of practice that will lead to ten thousand days of practice this is a good path to follow. But be careful when following this path.

A Bugei's path is through the sword. His body with the sword is as one and he will always defeat his opponent. For the swordsman always use the 5 positions top, middle, lower, right, and left attitudes. He must use the knowledge along with the mind/body/spirit in order to be able to wield his sword properly.
Also rhythm plays an important role and by utilizing his keen mind and his body he strikes and finishes his opponent with one blow. The art of war is not of good or evil but of good judgment. In the books and records there is paragraph after paragraph, which states the way you should move, or how an opponent should react. But the only guide is live practice and the body to show you the way. To constantly live with and have a total disregard for life, victory or defeat is the state of' mind which is ideally suited for the Warrior. This is the substance of Heiho, and through this understanding and having a thorough grasp of Heiho a warrior will always prevail.
The way of a Bugei is for the body/mind/spirit/ to be as one in a warrior’s body. The Bushi's resolute duty is not of things gone by or in the future but in the now. The superior Bushi will see this and overcome. This book is a record of such a warrior’s resoluteness. That nothing should be taken by force, as it is unproductive. The strong opponent will try to win. But he will not. This principle is not always a path to follow. In truth the one who is obsessed with bad values will always lose. To know the art of war s is enough. For the Bushi when he acts accordingly whether one opponent or ten with his art and self-confidence he can make his opponents yield. That’s another important point to remember that one must be versed in as many arts as possible. Or when a battle comes about there will be no surprises. Then the Bushi will be righteous is his endeavor.
All in all one must see and understand and practice the one thousand days, which leads to the ten thousand days path to enable him to perfect his art.
