Klaus Heberle of Freiburg published a number of papers on electronics in the 1980s. Klaus Heberle of Reute DE - Deutsche ITT Freiburg, was issued a number of USA patents for electronic apparatus in 1990-98, including remote control systems. Hans Heberle (b 1597 d 1677) schumaker, shoemaker of Neenstetten, wrote a book in c1648 describing the life of his family. His parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 children died in the plague epidemic in 1634-35. His book described the comet of 1618 and arrival of Gustav Adolf’s Swedish army in 1630. He recorded in his diary that he had to flee from his home near Ulm on 30 separate occasions in the 1630s, during the thirty years war (1618-48).

The Veringenstadt music society, based in the city chapel, was founded in 1927. The society prospered under the board of directors lead by Fridolin Heberle in 1947-79. His brother Berthold Heberle took over as chairman and served until 1991. In 2000, 7 Heberles were in the band: Alfred (Flugelhorn/Bariton), Erich (Trompete), Nadja (Klarinetten), Sandra, Bianca and Andreas (Es-Saxofon) and Reinhold (B-Saxofon).
