Call for RNs to work closely with government agencies and professional organizations to ensure a more coordinated and effective response to natural disasters, such as hurricanes
Advocate for an adequate supply of influenza vaccine and a well-structured plan to distribute it equitably if an influenza pandemic occurs
Launch an educational campaign to increase the number of consumers, including RNs, who receive seasonal influenza vaccinations each year

The Congress focuses on establishing nursing’s approach to emerging trends within the socioeconomic, political and practice spheres of the health care industry by identifying issues and recommending policy alternatives to the Board of Directors.
