In this article ritual and mythological aspects of the part” How Basat won Tepegyoz" from the legend "Kitabi - Dede -Korkud “ is investigated. It becomes clear that this part of the plot has two levels; top level – depicted in the aesthetics plan; lower level – depicted in the mythical meaning. Here Aruz`s, Basat`s and Tapagyoz`s mythosemantical images are studied from this aspect.
