  • Team Leader of Laboratory Technology Group Award 2011 conferred by INMAS, DRDO, Delhi, for significant technology contributions towards implementation of Quality Management System, ISO-9001:2008. The award consisting of cash of Rs. 50,000/- (shared equally among 9 members of the team) and certificate for each member, was received on 13 February 2012.

  • Recipient of Bhartiya Shiromani Puraskar of Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi The award consisting of a trophy, citation and gold medal was awarded on 26th November 2011




  • Nominated as Member of the Scientific Body of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (2011-16)




  • Elected as Fellow of the Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists vide letter dated 10th October 2009

  • Awardee of Indian Council of Medical Research International Fellowship for Senior Bio-medical Scientist 2008-2009 tenured at Swedish Rescue Services Agency, Sweden. Applications for the award were sought by ICMR through open advertisement. Six senior biomedical scientists were selected for awarding the Indian Council of Medical Research-International Fellowship based on the evaluation of the merit of the candidate and the training needs in the field of Biomedical research by a Committee of eminent scientists. The award consisted of financial support to the extent of US $160 per day and travel expenses. Visited various selected Institutes of Swedish Services Rescue Agency, Hospitals,  and SRSA Training School, Skovde,  Sweden  during 28th Nov- 12th Dec 2008 to study Civil Protection  for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Accidents and Events.

  • Recipient of AAPS Outstanding Manuscript Award in PharmSciTech 2008 from American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), USA. Manuscript entitled “Preliminary Brain Targeting Studies on Intranasal Mucoadhesive Microemulsions of Sumatriptan” published in the AAPS PharmSciTech 7(1), Article 8. (http://www.aapspharmscitech.org) has been selected and awarded as the Outstanding Manuscript Award 2008 by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. This work was done at INMAS by a research Scholar of MS University of Baroda in collaboration with CCMB. The paper was chosen by the Selection Committee out of 200 manuscripts published in AAPS PharmaSciTech during 2006-08. It is a matter of pride and delight for all of us that the work done by Indians and from India is being recognized at International level. The AAPS Outstanding Manuscript Award in PharmSciTech composed of a $2,000 honorarium (shared equally among all the authors of the paper) and framed certificates for each author, was received by Dr. Tushar K. Vyas on behalf of 5 authors at 2008 AAPS Annual meeting at Atalanta, Georgia, USA on 16th November, 2008.

  • Elected as Fellow of the Institution of Chemists (India) vide No. LF-118(4)/5639 dated 11th March 2006

  • Team Member of Laboratory Technology Group Award 2004 by INMAS, DRDO, Delhi, for significant technology contributions in the development, evaluation and successful application of a novel approach for improving radiotherapy and chemotherapy of cancer using 2-deoxy-D-glucose as an adjuvant. The award consisting of cash of Rs. 20,000/- (shared equally among 11 members of the team) and certificate for each member, was received on 13th February 2005.

  • Acclaimed Jaipur Award (2004) of Indian Pharmacological Society for a Paper entitled ‘Formulation of lyophilized cold kit for instant preparation of Tc-99m-glucarate and its scintigraphic evaluation in experimental models of infarction’, published in the Indian Journal of Pharmacology that was adjudged the best paper. The award consisting of citation and cash award of Rs. 5,000/- was bestowed during the XXXVII Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society held at Kolkata on 14th January 2005.

  • Acclaimed Chandra Kanta Dandiya Prize in Pharmacology (2004) instituted by Professor Prem Chand Dandiya Endowment Trust, Jaipur, for notable research publications during the period 2001-03 in the field of Pharmacology The award consisting of cash of Rs. 10,000/- and scroll of honor was conferred at IPA-FIP function held at Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi on 26th February 2004.

  • Team Member of Laboratory Technology Group Award 2003 by INMAS, DRDO, Delhi, for significant technology contributions in developing Shudhika – a skin decontamination kit and protective clothing for Quick Reaction Teams for the medical management of Nuclear Disasters. The award consisting of cash of Rs. 20,000/- (shared equally among 5 members of the team) and certificate for each member, was given on 19th February 2004.







  • Acclaimed Laboratory Scientist of the Year Award, 2001. The award consisting of cash of Rs. 10,000/- and certificate was awarded on 13th February 2002.

  • Guest Scientist Award of the Johnan Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, to work at the Clinic of Nuclear Medicine/PET Centre, Zentralklinik Bad Berka, Germany during April-May 2000.

  • Acclaimed Young Scientist of the year 1993 Award instituted by Brig. S. K. Mazumdar Memorial Trust. The award consisted of cash of Rs. 5,000/-, running trophy and certificate. Prof. Upendra Baxi, the then Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi conferred the award on 1st September 1993, during the IX Memorial Oration held at Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi.
