I have joined IPE Global Limited as District Mobiliszation Officer in Rayagada District, Odisha. Looking at my performance, I have been promoted as the zonal coordinator for south zone where I deals 7 districts presently. Under this position, I have successfully implemented 3 pilots in the said region to enhance the teaching capacity of the teachers and students by developing student’s friendly books on Science, Mathematics, English and Odia. Also implemented safe transport system (engaging local vehicles) for students those were coming from far to schools to make them regularise and lastly, to make students understands a basic introduction on technology which is related to their curricula and by which they can think of their higher education

I am reasonably confident to develop a standardized process to control over Monitoring and Evaluation and also facilitate Analyzing data and do planning to help project for better implementation.

During working with UNICEF, I was monitoring the ICDS and Health activities, such as Immunisation Nutrition Status of children upto U-5, and Health issues, Also collect the data on Infant and maternal mortality and analyse the data before disseminating it in front of concerned District officers. 

Under NOP (Nutritional Operation Plan), I worked as M&E manager for Kalahandi District, where I used to collect the data and analyse it and present it during the review meeting. During this period. I worked on CMAM and IYCF too.

During work with MIA, (Micro Insurance Academy), I did a study on En- block affiliation. where I conducted FGD and KII in control as well as treatment villages.

Now I am doing a study with Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) on identifying the gaps in Anganwadi Training Centre as well as in Anganwadi centre to strengthening it.

Presently I am doing a study on AWTC (Anganwadi Training Centre) and AWC on gap analysis for 5 districts of Odisha with PHRS, (Public Health Recourse Society) Delhi.

I was working as Zonal Coordinator in Odisha Girls Incentive Project, (OGIP) with IPE global and Department for ST & SC development Odisha, in Southern part of Odisha containing 7 districts from 31/04/13 to 31th July 2016.

After successfully completion of the pilot, Government of Odisha implemented it throughout the state making 5 zones. I am responsible for 7 districts which are situated mostly in southern part of Odisha. They are: Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawrangpur, Koraput, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Rayagada aiming the same objectives as mentioned below.

Under this position I have successfully completed 3 more pilots in the above said districts of the zones. They are


  • Safe Transport Pilot (STP):

Pilot to understand the impact of safe transport provision on attendance and enrolment of the girls.


  • Learning Hub (LH)

Pilot to improve learning outcomes for students in the area of Science, Mathematics and language as Odia and English

  • Introduction to Basic Technology (IBT):

Pilot to impart basic skills to students and develop vocational interests, aptitudes and allow self employment.

The government of Odisha has agreed to have a pilot in Rayagada district initially in aiming

(i) Enhancing the transition of SC and ST girls from grade eight to grade nine and grade nine to ten

(ii) Enhancing the attendance rates of SC and ST girls in grade nine and ten

(iii) Increasing the graduation rates of SC and ST girls to higher secondary education (i.e. from grade ten to eleven)

(iv) Promoting improved community and household cultural norms and attitudes to girls secondary

Education

In this context, through this project and funding support from DFID, it has been propose to develop a model for effective delivery of conditional secondary school (grade 9 and 10) stipend scheme for disadvantaged girls.



Major responsibilities:

  • Create data base of ST & SC girls students of class-9 and 10

  • Facilitating to open their savings account at nearest banks

  • Facilitating to obtain valid caste certificate from Tehsil office

  • Facilitating to obtain income certificate of their parents from Tehsil office

The Government of Orissa (GoO) has developed a comprehensive Orissa Health Sector Plan (OHSP) 2005-2010. This provides a unique opportunity for the Government to align its own, the Government of India’s and development partners ‘resources to meet the State’s priorities and help address the major shortcomings in both public and private health provision. DFID provides Health Sector budged Support to the GoO channeled through the Departments of health and family Welfare (DH & FW) and women and child Development (DWCD). Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) have prepared an evidence based Nutrition Operation Plan (2009-2013) to augment the process of malnutrition reduction. Strengthening institutional arrangements for improved access and utilization of essential Nutrition and Health Services is one amongst the eight strategies of the Nutrition Operation Plan (NOP) where emphasis is given on establishment of one State Project Management Unit and one District Project Management Unit in each of the 15 High Burdened Districts



My responsibilities:-

  • To coordinate the concurrent monitoring at the State and District level and ensure transparency

  • Facilitate the web based MIS to be operational at the State and District level by ensuring timely report collection, compilation and feedback.

COMMUNITY HEALTH FELLOW in PUBLIC HEALTH RESOURCE NETWORK (PHRN) (01/01/2009 10/06/2010)

Major Responsibilities

The Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) provides support to public health practitioners working in the districts in all aspects of district health planning and public health management. PHRN supports research & advocacy and organizes training, distance education and capacity building programs in several states of the country.

The Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) is providing Community Health Fellowships to promote action research in community based health programming and district health management. The PHRN is a capacity building programme that offers certified and non-certified learning courses for health professionals, undertakes action-research to improve community health programmes and provides technical assistance to districts to strengthen community processes and improve local health planning. It is launching the Community Health Fellowships, in partnership with the National Health Systems Resource Centre, the apex technical support institution for the NRHM; SEARCH - a voluntary organisation widely recognized for its pioneering work in community health; and the ICICI Centre for Child Health and Nutrition, a resource support and research group, to strengthen the capacities of field level civil society participation in the NRHM and in the process build a team of young professionals and dedicated youth with the perspectives and skills to contribute to pro-poor community development work throughout the rest of their careers.

Field Investigator in Micro Insurance Academy (from 27/08/2008 to 30/12/2008) under Project on Evidence-based studies, training and advisory services for micro insurance units serving the poor.

Community-based micro insurance units represent the highest hope for the extension of insurance coverage among the uninsured poor. However, micro insurance schemes need help in customizing their insurance to the risks and conditions they face, at affordable premiums, through a process that they trust. The MIA offers innovative, context-specific solutions to those needs, delivered through its network of affiliated training institutes.

The Micro Insurance Academy develops and offers capacity building for successful implementation of micro insurance. The MIA focuses primarily on enabling local communities, i.e. the micro insurance clients themselves, to play an active and empowered role in their insurance. We also train micro insurance promoters at community, state and national level, as well as the staff of NGOs and donor agencies dealing with micro insurance.

My Role and Responsibilities:

The research project here aims to create insight on how to enable en-bloc affiliation of entire communities into (micro) insurance. En-bloc affiliation promises many advantages for insurance, such as:



  1. Reduced admin and transaction costs (and hence lower loading on the premium);

  2. Faster expansion of insurance;

  3. Use of information that flows locally free of charge to improve the internal distribution of costs (encouraging an informal intra-village cross subsidy based on local information of wealth and of economically weaker members of the group.

    • Conducting FGDs and Key Informant Interviews and applying other qualitative research tools in field locations.

    • Supervision and coordination of local field work. And analyze data according to established technical procedures.

Capacity Building

Liaison with the District level Health and ICDS officials to effect replication

  • Development & strengthening of District Level Advisory Committee (DLAC) & Block level Advisory Committees (BLAC) or other such monitoring forums.

  • Ensure the appropriate directives and guidelines are issued by the District administration required for effective Replication including capacity building.
