A LOOK AT THE POETRY ASHUG SHAKIR
Summary
It was typical for Tabriz, Goycha, Anadoluashug environments and schools which contributed to our science and culture since ancient times up today. One of these cultural centers is Shirvanashug environments which is not only an administration zone. It is a vast territory that covers Darband, Shaki, Zagatala, Mil-Mughan where the regular research of repertoire performing and art of a narrator traditions forms the natural panorama of this extensive development.
One of the outstanding representatives of Shirvanashug environment was ShakirHajiyev, the master ashug. Shakir Hajiyev was a connoisseur of classic epic stories, melodies and songs and author of a number of verses, poems and tales. He completed the traditions of Shirvanashug school and it made progress thanks to Shakir Hajiyev, the great representative of Azerbaijan ashug art. Ashug Shakir Hajiyev’s valuable musical and poetic heritage makes demands to have a new view on it according modern study of folk-lore and musicology. His works are popular along South Azerbaijan, Daghistan, Anadoluashugs from these regions perform them willingly and with and with love. Shakir Hajiyev’s two tales ashug verses and melodies, which created by himself are active in the repertoire of ashugs from above-mentioned regions.
