1 Background and general description of archives/ records program:
Bulgaria's first university-based Archives/records management was founded at Sofia University, Faculty on History in 1952. Then it was a specialty but in 1954 it change into specialization courses at the Faculty on History. Since 2002 the specialty is reestablished as Archives and Records Management. In the same time all students of History pass an exam on Archives and Records Management and obtain a good training to work in public and other archives.
