EXAMINE THE FINISHED TESTS AND WRITE A CONCLUSION ON THE BASIS
PLAN:

  1. EXAMINE THE FINISHED TESTS AND WRITE A CONCLUSION ON THE BASIS

  2. DISSERTATION CONCLUSION: WHAT IS IT?

  3. THE RECOMMENDED LENGTH OF A DISSERTATION CONCLUSION IS 5-7% OF THE OVERALL WORD COUNT.

For the past few centuries, there has been a significant advancement in medical sciences. Experiments spanning over different animal species have resulted in important discoveries. Few people believe that doing testing on animals is cruel, while other argues that these experiments should continue to benefit mankind. This essay will analyse both pros and cons of conducting trials on animals.

People favouring laboratory experiments on animals argue that it is the best way to research, analyse and observe effects of different medicines before testing them on human beings. Experiments conducted over animal species have resulted in the development of vital medicines including vaccines, drugs and antibiotics. For instance, polio which was a widespread disease in the mid-nineties was developed after rigorous testing on mice and monkeys, unavailability of these experimental subjects would have left the world in an epidemic state. Moreover, animal testing helps medical students to seek the required knowledge and advance in the research domain. Researchers also aim to minimise the suffering that animal experience.
On the other hand, trials and experiments on animals are cruel and we have no moral right to take away their lives for the sake of our research work. Their existence and ecosystem should be respected. There are many alternates available to perform scientific research. In many countries, testing for the cosmetic industry on animal race in now prohibited. Moreover, experiments on animal species might not give us the same result as they have different anatomy and biological system than human beings.
To conclude, the above provide solid arguments in highlighting merits and demerits of doing experiments on animals. In my opinion, the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, but research and evaluation should be done in a controlled way. The government should also set up strict policies and regulation which should keep the animal as an experimental subject in critical research purpose only.
Essay Topic: Examine the arguments in favour of and against animal experiments, and come to a conclusion on this issue.Answer: Animal experimentation is a controversial issue and has got a considerable public attention recent days. Although testing on animals has brought many advantages in medical sciences, these experiments are inhuman. This essay portrays both the advantages and disadvantages of conducting experiments on animals before arriving at a logical conclusion. On the one hand, a vast majority of experiments done on animal bodies are invasive. Clearly, these induce extreme sufferings to animals and this is unjust towards them. For instance, for these experiments, animals are caged for a longer duration, sedated, injected with harmful chemicals and sometimes their body parts are torn apart one by one. In addition, animals are not only used for the medicinal purposes but also for cosmetic purposes. Animals’ suffering for human beauty is unjustifiable. Moreover, trial results from experiments on animals sometimes give unexpected results in human bodies and this is quite dangerous for human as well.On the other hand, supporters of animal experiments point out that medical and chemical research could not be done on humans and animals are the best fit for conducting such experiments. Most of the antibiotics were developed by these methods and they save thousands of people per day. They opine that animal body is comparatively similar to the human body and the results are reliable. Moreover, it is unethical to try new drug directly on the human body unless that is free from adverse reactions.Putting everything into consideration, even though the research on the animal body is cruel to some extent, it is unavoidable for the betterment of the human. In my opinion, unnecessary and invasive procedures should be avoided and they should be used only for medical and scientific research where there is no alternative.
