Role Overview
The VP of Organizational Behaviour Case Competition (OBCC) organizes HRSA’s largest event. Bringing together schools from across Canada, the VP, and Directors of OBCC create the theme and direction of the largest OB-related case competition in Canada. From top-to-bottom, the VP of OBCC leads their team of directors in organizing this two-day case competition.
Duties -
Work with Directors of OBCC to ensure that the event is well-planned out, and successful

Delegate essential tasks to Directors of OBCC

Work with external parties in a professional and organized manner. These include graphics, hotels, venues, trophies, catering, etc.

Work with Corporate Relations team and Directors of OBCC, to attract, secure, and develop communication strategies with guest speakers, judges and sponsors

Work with Executive Vice President to manage relationships with building facilities (to secure facilities and organize room layouts), catering, and media services

Work with the Marketing team to develop theme and communication strategies for OBCC with competing schools and HRM student body

Work with VP Finance to create budget, apply for internal funding (RCS, RSU, PFACS, HRM/OB Department, etc.) and prepare funding presentations for funding allocators

Work alongside faculty to select and prepare a case for the competition

Work with Executive Vice President to hire volunteers and administer positions
Requirements
- Event planning and management experience is a strong asset
- Case competition experience is an asset
- Enrolled as a Full Time student at the Ted Rogers School of Management
- Human Resources Major / Minor
- Must have above 2.00 GPA and in Clear standing
- Available for 5-10 hours a week (planning begins in the summer for OBCC)
