B2. EXIT CHARACTERISTICS OF MARINE ENGINEERING TRAINEES The product of a MET program should be equipped to function in an entry level position and should have a basis for continued career. Table 1 presents a high-level categorization of the exit characteristics that emphasizes the central role of Technology-Enabled architecture Development. Table 2 Provides the main architecture as well as the concrete, practical representative examples of the exit characteristics in each subcategory. The overarching objective for MET professionals is to enable them to utilize their skills learnt, technical knowledge and , understanding of advanced operational practices and communications and related information technology to achieve their strategic objectives with an eye towards achieving national and personnel goals.
