6.3Preservation
Requirements for preservation are available in N12401 Multimedia Preservation Description Information (MPDI) Requirements Document, Version 2. In order to broaden industry participation, a Call for Requirements was issued at the 98th meeting: N12402 Call for Multimedia Preservation Description Information (MPDI) Requirements. At this meeting, a list of organization to receive the Call for Requirements was defined: N12624 Distribution List for CfR and CfP on MPDI.
Furthermore, ambassadors to different communities were charged with distributing the Call and soliciting responses: N12626 MPDI Liaison Statement. A Call for Proposals with a response due date of 1/13 is planned for 7/12; N12625 Draft Call for Proposals on Multimedia Preservation Description Information (MPDI).
The adhoc group N12614 AHG on Multimedia Preservation will work on this topic.
