The exploration on the future Composite Font Standard currently has a draft requirements and use cases defined. As a step towards the standard, requirements and a work plan have to be agreed upon. Given the small number of four implementations in the market, the group also needs to provide an analysis of the possible impact this standard may have. The concept of virtual fonts is perceived as a solution for the development of the standard. N11212 Draft Requirements and Use Cases for the Composite Font Standard is a starting point towards the full set of documents for preparing the standardization process.
