MPEG received input related to preservation of digital media content. It is assumed that codec technology will expire at the risk of losing contents. There are proposals to provide interfaces to preservation engines in order to eliminate this problem. The adhoc group N12027 AHG on Multimedia Preservation will work on this topic.
