| USAC Open Encoder

The contribution reviewed the history of the ETRI TCX windowing technology proposal. ETRI proposes to incorporate the TCX windowing technology into the USAC “open source” encoder. ETRI envisions having the “open source” encoder operating in mono available prior to the end of 2011.
The contribution presents listening test result comparing the USAC RM8 (as decoded RM8 bistreams) and ETRI encoder with ETRI TCX windowing. The ETRI encoder operates in LPD mode only.
