IPICS NAPRECA - Natural Products Research for Eastern and Central Africa
http://www.isp.uu.se/what-we-do/chemistry/networks/napreca/
Support started in 1988.
Objectives
To promote and streamline research in the area of natural products (including botany, chemistry, biological activity and economic exploitation) in the Eastern and Central African sub-region through:
Capacity building with especial emphasis on training and leadership enhancement;
Exchange of Researchers Scheme directed mainly on post-doctoral fellow between network member institutions;
Natural Products Summer Schools and series of Workshops with very structured approach to involve application of chemoinformatic approches in drug discovery;
Natural Products Pre-Symposia (hands-on workshops) and Symposia;
MSc and PhD training with special emphasis on modern medicinal chemistry;
To coordinate and maintain inter- and intra-regional links among different research groups.
To foster and maintain research links with scientists in other parts of the world who are actively working in specific areas of natural products that are pertinent to Africa.

IPICS NITUB - Network of Instrument Technical personnel and User scientist of Bangladesh
The main goal of NITUB is to create a nucleus of skilled manpower in Bangladesh to assure proper use, maintenance and trouble-shooting of scientific equipment so that scientific activities do not suffer due to non-functioning equipment.
Improve upon the capabilities of the technical personnel and user scientists in handling, maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing of scientific instruments
Maintain an inventory of available scientific instruments and its present status of different institutions
Keep inventory of technical personnel who can offer technical assistance to NITUB
Repair instruments and offer technical services to different educational and research institutions of Bangladesh by the technical personnel from the pool of NITUB and if necessary, to procure the services of foreign technical experts
Create a stock of spare parts and accessories required for repair of instruments on a routine basis and make them available to various institutions as and when necessary
Conduct training courses for the technical personnel and user scientists on different types of scientific instrument
Fabricate scientific instruments for educational and research purposes
