Strategic Roads Development Project: This operation includes: (i) road maintenance; (ii) road rehabilitation; (iii) bridge maintenance; and (iv) bridge rehabilitation; and (v) technical assistance to road sector institutions for capacity development and strategic project preparation activities. The project will include a focus on a section of Nepal’s East-West highway between Pathlaiya and Dhalkebar where there is an acute need to rehabilitate bridges and road sections that have reached the end of their maintainable life.
