| Markoff Numbers And Markoff Forms
In this study, the relation between irrational numbers and Markoff forms is presented. The study is separated in two parts. In the first part, It is considered that how closely an irrational number may be approximated to by rational numbers. Also, in this approximation, the continued fraction process is used.
In the second part, indefinite quadratic forms and Markoff numbers are investigated. Then the Markoff forms which is a subset of indefinite quadratic forms is presented. Finally, the relation between the approximations and the Markoff forms is enunciated.
