Objectives/objectif:
The main objective of Musa Association is promoting and safeguarding the traditional material and spiritual culture of the "Four Provinces", the appenninic northwest area divided for administration purposes into four provinces and four regions: Alessandria (Piemonte), Genova (Liguria), Pavia (Lombardia), Piacenza (Emiia Romagna). In this area traditional music is still performed and orally transmitted and still represents a reference-point for the cultural horizons of population. From its foundation, Musa Association is engaged in the organization of traditional players and singers performances either on the occasion of regional festive and ritual events during the cycles of the year, or in the frame of folk festivals which take place in the "Four Provinces" area. The Musical Society of Nigeria was established in 1983 with the following objectives:
* To promote the understanding and enjoyment of classical music in Nigeria
* To promote the performance of serious music (with emphasis on classical music)
* To promote the education of children in the performance and theory of music
* To encourage the interaction of Nigerian and non-Nigerian musicians, and for this purpose to
encourage foreign musicians to come to perform in Nigeria and vice versa.

In furtherance of the above objectives, the Society is the proud owner of a multipurpose cultural complex, the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos. Which also houses the MUSON School of Music, a Government recognised, diploma-awarding educational institution dedicated to the training of professional musicians.
MUSON organizes regular concerts, an annual Festival of the Arts and other programmes and events for its members and the general public.
It recently established a Symphony Orchestra which is in the early stages of development.

Once earthen architecture was strictly connected with rural (urban) world, marked out by a proper architectural language, specific technological details and social meanings.
