Frankliniella intonsa is associated with economic damage of several crop species: asparagus, chrysanthemum, okra, tomatoes and peas. As part of a pest complex, F. intonsa has been associated with economic damage to strawberries in Italy and the UK, lucerne in former Czechoslovakia and nectarines in Greece (CAB International 2007).
