Should : -meli ,-malı ,...iyi olur anlamında tavsiye için kullanılır
Should: gerekir. “tavsiye öneri” anlamında kullanılır

*Should öğüt ya da tavsiye bildirmektedir. Bir kişiye öğütte bulunurken kullanılmaktadır. 

Yapılmasının iyi olmayacağını söyleyebilmek için ise "should"'un olumsuz hali "shouldn't" ı kullanmaktayız.

- He should work harder. Daha fazla çalışması gerek.

b) Şu anda gerçekleşmesi gerekirken gerçekleşmeyen - ya da bunun tam tersi - eylem.
- You should be at home now. You should be studying.
Şu anda evde olman gerekirdi. Ders çalışıyor olmalıydın.

You should see a doctor. = Bir doktora gitmelisin =Gitmeni tavsiye ediyorum. 

You should do your homework. = Ödevini yapmalısın. (Nasihat) 

Miss Green left for work very early. She should have arrived at her office by now. 
(Bayan Green işi için çok erken ayrıldı .Şimdiye kadar ofisine varmış olmalı.)

She should be preparing the breakfast now. But she is sleeping instead.

(Su anda kahvaltı hazırlıyor olmalıydı ama onun yerine uyuyor).

You should study hard - Çok çalışmalısın.

You should give up smoking - Sigarayı bırakmalısın.

(İnsanların sağlıklı olabilmesi için çok fazla meyve yemeleri gerekiyor.)

(Sınıfını geçmek istiyorsan,sıkı çalışmalısın.)

- Your sister is fat, he shouldn"t eat too much fast food.
(Kız kardeşin şişman, bu kadar çok hazır yiyecek yemese iyi olur.)

- You shouldn"t drink cold water in winter.
(Kışın soğuk su içmemelisin)

-The weather is too cold, children shouldn"t play in the garden.
(Hava çok soğuk, çocuklar bahçede oynamasa iyi olur,çocuklar bahçede oynamamalı.)

Keşke Cümlecikleri - I wish / If only Clauses

ingilizce konu anlatımları, inglizce ders notları, i wish konu anlatımları, if only konu anlatımları

Türkçede keşke diye ifade ettiğimiz cümleleri ingilizcede temel olarak wish veya if only cümleleri ile yaparız. 
Bu yapı İngilizce’ de temel olarak üç ayrı zaman için üç ayrı şekilde kullanılır.

Şu an : Şu an için istediğimiz keşkelerimiz.

If only/I wish’ ten sonra geçmiş zaman yapısı (fiil2-didn’t) kullanılır. 

I wish u studied you lessons. – Keşke derslerine çalışsan.

I wish it weren’t cold today. – Keşke bugün soğuk olmasa. 
I wish the teacher didn’t ask questions. – Keşke öğretmen sorular sormasa.
If only I knew how to dance. – Keşke nasıl dans etmeyi bilsem.

Geçmiş: Geçmişe yönelik keşkelerimiz.

If only /wish’ ten sonra geçmiş zaman yapısı ( had-fiil3) kullanılır.

I wish I hadn’t argued with my mom yesterday. – Keşke dün annemle tartışmasaydım. 

I wish you had not told all those lies. – Keşke tüm o yalanları söylemeseydin. 
I wish he hadn’t been so drunk in the party. – Keşke partide bu kadar sarhoş olmasaydı. 
If only you had learned english when you were at high school. – Keşke lisedeyken ingilizce öğrenseydin. 

Bu örneklere baktığımızda keşke ile ifade ettiğimiz cümlenin gerçekleşme olasılığı olduğunu unutmayın.

If only/wish ‘ ten sonra would kullanılır. Bu yapı aynı zamanda memnuniyetsizlik bildirirken de kullanılır. 

I wish u would hurry up! – Keşke acele etsen!

I wish you would also come tomorrow.- Keşke yarın sen de gelsen.
I wish they wouldn’t reject. – Keşke itiraz etmeseler.
If only he would admit. – Keşke kabul etse.
