NOTICE OF RACE
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, October 27 & 28, 2018
1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), and by the
INSA class rules. Any changes will be addressed in the Competitors Meeting and/or the Sailing
Instructions.
1.2 USCG approved PFD’s shall be worn at all times by competitors while on the water, other than brief
periods while adding or removing clothing. The ‘Y’ flag will not be flown. This modifies RRS 40 and the preamble to Part 4.
2. ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY
2.1 The regatta is open to Sabot C3-A.
2.2 Eligible boats may enter online at www.liyc.net or in person.
2.3 Online entries will be accepted until 5pm one day prior to the event; thereafter entries may only be made in person. In person entries will be accepted until 10:30am the morning of the regatta.
2.4 All entries received AFTER 5:00pm, Friday, October 26th will be subject to a $10 late fee. All entry fees are nonrefundable.

A $10 late fee will be charged for all entries after 5pm October 26, 2018

5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 Sailing Instructions will be online (www.liyc.net) after Friday, October 26th at 6pm. Sailing Instructions will also be provided during check-in on the day of the event.
6. VENUE AND COURSES
6.1 Boats may be launched at Genoa West (please contact Sailing Director for more information).
6.2 Racing will take place in the Lido Channel and/or the Turning Basin. Street parking is available; please do not park in front of garages or in red zones.
6.3 Courses will be provided in the Sailing Instructions.
7. FORMAT & SCORING
7.1 The low point system appendix A of the RRS.
7.2 The regatta format will be determined at the close of registration. It will be based on the number of entries in each fleet and the forecasted weather conditions.
7.3 Two (2) races are required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
7.4 When five (5) or fewer races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
8. TROPHIES
8.1 Trophies will be awarded as soon as possible after racing.
9. DISCLAIMER
9.1 Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage or injury. Competitors in this race participate
entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (OA, Race Committee,
Protest Committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this race. By participating in this race, each competitor agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. EVENT INFORMATION
10.1 Pre-order Lunches! You can choose from either Turkey Sandwich, Hamburger, Hot Dog, Peanut Butter & Jelly, or Chicken Tenders made from the snack bar. Each lunch comes with chips, cookie, and a beverage. Lunches cost $12. Must be received by Wednesday, October 24th and can be ordered through the online entry. In addition, the snack bar will be open during this event.
