Egyptian identity is closely tied to geography. The population of Egypt is concentrated in the lower Nile valley.This unique geography has been the basis of the development of Egyptian society. If regarded as a single ethnic group, the Egyptian people constitute one of the world's largest.

The world uses billions of plastic bottles for drinks every year. Most of this plastic is made from petroleum. One large international company now makes its bottles with 30% of the material from plants. But in March 2011, another large international company announced that it can now make bottles from 100% plant material. The company, which has spent millions of dollars on research, said that it will make a few hundred thousand of these bottles in 2012 as a test. When it is sure that it can successfully produce the new bottles in large numbers, it will begin to use the new bottles for all of its products. The company plans to make the new bottles from orange peels, potato scraps and other leftovers from its food business.
