Conduct an assessment of the NGOs in the targeted GOVs
The project team received 127 associations’ applications for the assessment however only 84 met the assessment criteria, and 60 NGOs were selected for the training. The results of the survey showed that there is a disparity difference between the levels of association and can’t place them together in one training program. Therefore, the training has been divided into two levels (basic level) and (advanced level) the first training has been considered as pre - training for the association that did not complete the second level in order to prepare them for the third level
1.2. Develop and designed the training manuals.
3 training manuals have been designed in gender, conflict management, and good governance. Notes and ideas have been taken by specialists. Accordingly, three curriculums have been authored and discussed with the trainers and feedback was provided after the training.
2.1implmention of training workshop in Aden and in Sana'a'
The milestone reached in August after implementation the core training for the 58 out of 60 associations from the six targeted GOVs, which start from 9/8-22/8/2014. In this second phase more than 348 trainees (257 male and 91 female), have been graduated from 58 NGOs (one trainee, male or female, per course from each NGO).
As a completion to build the capacities of the targeted NGOs and based on the results of the field survey that has been conducted by THFY in the targeted GOVs, the targeted NGOs have been divided into deferent levels. Evaluating has been conducted to the associations which have been targeted in the previous phase to select the targeted ones in the second phase.
The project team conducted 3 field visit in Aden and more than 9 in Sana'a center.
