The great Amir Temur
This great historical figure, whose full name is Amir Temur Koragoni ibn Amir Taragai ibn Amir Burqul, is a great statesman of the Middle Ages, a great general, the founder of a strong and centralized state, a patron of science and culture. In written sources, he is described as Temurlang, and in European literature he is described as Tamerlan. Amir Temur's mother, Takinahotun, was a descendant of Ubaydullah ibn Mas'ud (died 1350), a famous jurist from Bukhara known by the nickname Taj ash-sharia (the Crown of Sharia).
His father, Amir Taragai, was one of the elders of the Barlos clan, and he was considered one of the notable heads of the Chigatai clan. His ancestors were among the officials of the Chigatai palace. They had their own property in Kesh and Nasaf region and were governors in this country. Therefore, Amir Temur's father, Amir Taragaybek, was also invited to the general assembly of the country's beks and beys called by the khan once a year on the banks of the Ili River, and participated in such gatherings.

Young years

Amir Temur spent his youth in his native Kesh. When he turned seven years old, his father sent him to study. From a young age, he was fond of horse riding and hunting, he liked to engage in archery, horseback riding, various exercises and military games. At the same time, Amir Temur grows up as a skilled rider and a brave hunter who can sort out vultures. His childhood friends and schoolmates gather around him, train together, take part in competitions, and gradually share skills and form a military group.
This group included Abbas Bahadir, Jahan Shahbek, Kimori Inok, Suleiman Shahbek, Saifuddinbek and others. Later they became comrades-in-arms of Amir Temur and rose to the rank of commander of his army. Amir Temur by nature was a serious, reserved, deep-thinking and insightful man, who quickly understood sincerity.
Thanks to this, even as a teenager, he was able to attract loyal friends among his peers. He began his first military career serving some regional amirs along with his subordinates under the leadership of Amir Temur. The skill and generosity of their battles increased the glory of Amir Temur, and his fame spread throughout the Kashkadarya Valley, especially in the Kesh region.
