Dersin Amacı (Öğrenme Çıktıları)
Dersin amacı, öğrenciye iktisadi analizin temel kavram ve analiz aletlerini vermektir. Genel olarak öğrencinin gerçek dünya sorunları üzerine “iktisadi” bir biçimde düşünebilmeleri hedeflenmektedir. Temel odak, iktisadın kavramsal temellerini incelemektir. Bu kursta esas olarak bireysel seçim problemlerini ele alan mikroiktisat incelenmektedir.

Purpose of the Course (Learning Outcomes)
The objective of this course is to give the student the basic concepts and tools of the economic analysis. In general, the aim is to cultivate a disciplined way of thinking “economically” on real world economic problems. The focus of the course will be on the conceptual foundations of the economics discipline, without omitting the concrete cases that could be relevant for economic analysis. At the end of this course, students are expected to acquire some notion as to what economics is about. After examining the basic framework of economics in general and its concepts, the main focus will be microeconomics, which deals with the individual decision problems.

Sosyolojinin tarihsel gelişimini takip edebilir
Klasik ve yeni sosyoloji perspektiflerini karşılaştırmalı olarak öğrenir
Farklı toplum tiplerini öğrenir
Endüstriyel toplumların ortaya çıkışı ve buna Marx, Durkheim ve Weber’in tepkisini anlar.
Kültürün anlamını, gelişimini ve unsurlarını öğrenir.
Sosyalleşme sürecini anlar.
Tabakalaşma kavramını ve nedenlerini öğrenir ve farklı tabakalaşma tiplerini açıklar
Irk, etnisite, ırkçılık, ayrımcılık ve çokkültürlülük kavramlarını tanımlayabilir.

The emergence and development of sociology; Classical and contemporary sociology perspectives;Durkheim, Marx, Weber; Socialization; Stratification and different types of stratification; the definition, components and the significance of culture; Race, ethnicity, difference, discrimination and multiculturalism; economic inequalities and different models of socio-economic development, globalization.
In this class, it is aimed that student will learn the basic concepts of sociology and gain the ability to analyze the social phenomena through these concepts.

Course Objective and Fulfillments to be obtained by Students
The objective of the course is to give the student an idea about macroeconomics. The student is expected to acquire an understanding of the problems towards which this kind of analysis is directed to understand, namely, determination of national income, money and credit, employment and unemployment. By instilling the macroeconomic models firmly, the course aims to focus on real world macroeconomic problems.
