Course Objectives
To teach the students about the historical development and basic terms, concepts and areas of application of the EU Law system. It is also aimed to study on the reflections of this system on Turkey. Students may contribute to spread over the importance of the human rights concepts after the course.

Dersin temel amacı öğrencilere, beş Orta Asya cumhuriyetinin siyasal yapılarının, dış politikalarının ve bunları etkileyen iç ve dış faktörlerin analizi; bölgenin tarihi, içinde bulunulan durum, bölgenin muhtemel geleceği ve coğrafi ve stratejik önemi; bölge ülkelerinin sosyo-ekonomik boyutları ve etnik yapıları ve uluslaşma süreçleri; Sovyet sisteminin mirasının bölge halklarının sosyal ve kültürel gelişimleri üzerindeki olumlu ya da olumsuz etkilerinin analizi; son dönemde ortaya çıkan gelişmeleri ve muhtemel dönüşümler ve gelişmeler konularında bilgilendirmek ve bölgenin genel uluslararası politika açısından yeri ve önemini anlatmaktır.

Course Contents
The historical legacy of the Russian and Soviet regimes in the Central Asia, the broad affect of modernisation on the region, the politics and economics of nation and state building in the transition period, the role of traditional forms of politics, and the interregional relations of the area.
Course Objectives (Learning Outcomes)
The main purpose of this course is to introduce students to the key domestic and international issues affecting the people of the Central Asian.
