Objective:

conditions.

Career History:


  • Demonstrated the equipment in our laboratory and explaining the scope and interesting features of tribology and allied techniques for graduate students.




  • Demonstrated research expertise in tribology (including Synergistic effect of tribofilms/Tribochemical Reactions and Mechanically Mixed Layers under different environmental conditions and its materials and mechanical characterization).



Expertise and hands on experience in operating the following Materials and Mechanical Characterization equipment’s,
Optical Microscopy (OM), 3D Optical Profilometer, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Electron Probe Micro Analyzer (EPMA), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Nano-Indentation, Vacuum based High temperature pin on disc tribometer for mechanical and tribological property evaluation, Scratch Testing Machine, Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction (EBSD), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC).

  • Training of Pin on Disk Tribometer (both vertical and horizontal), Scratch Testing Machine and Fretting wear machine to the outside users who makes use of the facility in our laboratory.

  • Guided 75 undergraduate students/summer interns for carrying out their final project work at Indian Institute of Science.
