Higher education programs in foreign languages

Computer facilities: A computer room with 24 terminals; workstations at the departments , the students can use computers at the Department of Informatics (Internet available at all locations).

Free time and sport activities: Programs offered through the Department of Physical Education include tennis, swimming, physical fitness and conditioning courses, rowing, soccer, table tennis, water polo, handball, basketball, volleyball. Seasonal ski tours are organized to the surrounding countries.

Housing: dormitories (limited rooms)

Preparatory courses: Hungary & East-Central Europe International Studies Center (Introduction to Hungarian language and culture in 2 semesters, study abroad program with a certificate and optional exam in the Hungarian language.) Language of instruction is English. Enrollment with secondary school certificate and a working knowledge of English. Orientation fee $ 25, tuition fee $ 2000 per semester. Application: June 1.


Foreign Language Programs - English

Tuition fees: $ 2800 per semester. Living costs: approx. $400 per month.

 B.A. program: English Teacher Training (College Degree)

Length of the program: 6 semesters

M.A. program:

- English Studies

- American Studies

Length of both programs: 8-10 semesters

 Foreign Language Programs - German

Germanistik, Deutsche Sprache und Literatur (mit Lehramt)

Sprache der Ausbildung: Deutsch

Aufnahmeprüfung:

Schriftlich: Aufsatz zu einem Thema deutsche Sprache oder Literatur

Mündlich: Konversation zum Thema deutsche Sprache und Literatur

Anmeldungstermin: 31. Juli

Aufnahmeprüfung: erste Septemberwoche

Studiengebühren, sonstige Gebühren: USD 2.200/Person/Semester

Möglichkeiten des Teilstudiums: Teilstudium ist möglich (in diesem Falle ist keine Aufnahmeprüfung erforderlich). Möglich sind sowohl Semesterteilstudien als auch einzelne Kursbelegungen nach Angebot im jeweiligen Semester (s. Internet: www.arts.u-szeged.hu/german)

M.A. programm
