Googlers work atmosphere
Throughout the ages, Google has been known as a great place to work highlighting international company culture. Google received a similar reward of 15 points. accolades in 2019, including Best Company Culture, Best CEO, and Best Company for Women. Comparably shows workplace relationships and market compensation, presenting the most accurate and balanced portrayals of employer brands Every year, Google is the highest company on Fortune's Best Companies to Work for and Glassdoor's Best Places to Work rankings.
The interesting question for everyone is how Google achieved such results and for sure success came from its production team. Google created an unusual work environment that is difficult to find from other workplaces. It is no doubt that most workers are bored during work time, they impatiently wait when shift finishes and every morning they barely come to the office. Employees and Managers, on the contrary, claim to enjoy going to work despite spending long hours and even weekends. Employees won't need to leave the office for lunch, pleasure, or relaxation because everything needed will be right there. Google offers a variety of free services, including the following:

  • Employees get access to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

  • The company includes basic full healthcare examinations in-house.

  • Experienced stylists can also provide you with a haircut.

  • Dry-washing is offered indefinitely.

  • Professional masseurs are available for massages.

  • Users get access to the city's greatest gyms and swimming pools.

  • Visitors can reconnect on sleep with in-house nap pods.

  • There are several video game stations dispersed about the Google workplace.

  • There are also table sports such as foosball and table tennis.

Other interesting activities are available depending on whatever office you work in According to Google; pleasant employees are more productive and innovative. As a consequence, Google strives to foster an environment in which employees are allowed to express their inventiveness, whether that be through novel approaches to old problems or simply by their work style. In fact, Google encourages people to be self-sufficient. Google employees have the freedom to work wherever they want, which means they are not restricted to a gray-walled cubicle with poor illumination. Staff is able to work in cafeterias, beanbag seats, they can use leisure areas or any other location they prefer. The company wants individuals to be able to concentrate and perform at a high level wherever they are. Employees at Google are not just paid well they are also treated nicely. Additionally, provide customized financial guidance to assist individuals to maintain a healthy financial situation while acquiring the items they desire. The leader understands that not everyone has a thorough understanding of finances and that a lack of information can lead to credit and other financial issues. Incentivize employees to move around the organization to work on their upsides and downsides. The goal is to match individuals with the exact job they want before assisting them with the transition.
Because such flexibility is rare in most firms, it is an excellent way to keep employees. Furthermore, it lowers certain onboarding and recruitment costs, which other businesses avoid because it needs additional training, recruitment, and delays in the business process. Google receives over 2 million job applications every year on average. The sheer number of resumes, cover letters, and CVs demonstrates the strength of Google's corporate culture. Despite this, the company employs fewer than 1% of those that employ an average of 7,000 workers. The majority of resumes and applications miss the "six-second test," in which headhunters’ glance through resumes for around six seconds to determine if they are inspired by anything. Although Google's hiring process is challenging, it is incredibly effective at discovering not only great talent but also people with strong personalities. and motivation. Coding and design abilities can learn but character and other soft skills cannot be taught, so it's critical to hire the right skill sets that fit the company's culture. Google also looks for people that are fun, humble, innovative, and team-oriented while being self-starters. Because of the flat organizational structure of Google, many workers are empowered to talk openly. A horizontal organization design fosters communication among employees at all levels. This means that a lower-level employee can voice an opinion or a problem to the CEO without fear of punishment from their immediate supervisor. This open communication strategy also comprises an open-door policy. Whereas most organizations will find it to be a good employee engagement technique, keep in mind that it may limit an employee's ability and willingness to communicate their thoughts.
