m17300 The contribution refers to the possibility to adapt the manner how the sensed information is used in the adaptation engine, dictated by user preferences.
Two use cases are presented:
(1) The light is sensed in real world, the user may provide a set of parameters to specify the levels. The virtual world light will be changes accordingly the levels indicated by the users. To support this a SensorAdaptationReference base type is proposed (2) For the intelligent camera the user may choose the set of features that he/she wants to display. Even the intelligent camera is able to track all the features, the user has the ability to switch off some of them. To support this, a Boolean map indicates what are the features that the user wants to track.
Accept the concept. However, since MPEG-21 DIA contains a rich text of adaptation preference (User Characteristics, Terminal Capabilities, Natural Environment Capabilities, …)., there is a need of checking MPEG-21 schema to avoid duplication.
