DASH Considering that the DASH FDIS is expected to be issued in July 2011, WG11 requests the participating companies to make their IPR declarations and relevant information available in a timely fashion, so that external organizations and consortia can consider such information in their decision-making process.
In addition to the profiles in the current DIS, four new profiles were discussed. M2TS Simple targets delivery of MPEG2 transport streams for live and on demand applications with a minimum restriction on flexibility. This profile would support a broad variety of MPEG-2 TS content. In order to simplify seamless switching M2TS Constrained again for both live and on demand content was proposed.
For streaming of MP4 contents available in ISO-based file format, the profiles ISOBFF Basic On-Demand and ISOBFF Basic Live were proposed for on-demand streaming and live streaming, respectively. Sufficient company support still needs to be established. If possible, this support should include a demonstration of the functionality of the profile.
