There are many tables on color spaces, image formats, audio channels, etc. in all standards related to coding audiovisual information. In order to enable a consistent semantic and representation across different standards, a standard for code points should be defined which is referenced by the standards focussing on technology. In order to enable flexibility for new formats, a registration authority is desirable. The Systems Subgroup will lead this activity.
