Purpose: The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying students with research skills; theoretical and intellectual knowledge, critical reasoning abilities, problem-solving skills, an understanding of the normative dimensions of politics and economics, including respect for human rights, and open and accountable government, defensible security and economic policies; and normative limits on the exercise of power and authority in political economic orders.

Purpose: The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying students with: a
broad-based, strong and cohesive knowledge foundation for further studies in Psychology; a
knowledge foundation for applied and fundamental research in Psychology; analytical, interpretive and integrative skills that have practical value for society as a whole; and the ability to reflect on Psychology and have a holistic view of Psychology and its applications
in various contexts.
