Subordinación nominal: that / if + clause (I believe [that] this tea is excellent);deinfinitivo con diferente sujeto(John wanted us to play that old song. The teacher made them write the story again).
Iniciación en el estilo indirecto con say, tell y ask. (Liz says: ‘I love hamburgers’; Liz says she loves hamburgers). Cambios en los tiempos verbales y en otros elementos de la oración. Enunciativas (He said [that] he didn’t want to go), interrogativas (They asked me if I had a car; I asked them where he lives now) e imperativas (I asked / told them to leave).
Subordinación de relativo especificativa: who, which, that y whose; omisión del pronombre relativo objeto; omisión del pronombre relativo en combinación con el verbo be (The man [who is] standing at the door is Geoff’s father) y postposición de la preposición (The man you spoke about visited the office). Con where, when y why (That’s the reason why she spoke in public).
Subordinación adverbial: temporal referida a acciones anteriores, posteriores o simultáneas: after, before, when, while (When they arrived home, the phone was ringing. When I get to work, I’ll give you a call. She is reading while he is drawing); final to +infinitivo, so [that] + clause (I’m studying English so [that] our team can apply to do a European project); causal as, because;consecutiva so + adj…that (The watch was so expensive that I did not buy it); concesiva although; Oraciones condicionales reales (If you want to catch the plane, hurry up!) e hipotéticas (If I were you, I’d go by train).
