Human Body Systems Choice Board
Instructions:
1. You may pick any combination of activities that you’d like to complete.
2. The total point value of your choices must equal 100 points.
3. All of the assignments are due _Wednesday, January 11th_.
4. You will be graded using the guidelines on the back of this paper.
5. The point value of all of your assignments will add up to 100 points.
All of your assignments will be totaled together and you will receive one test grade
for your work.
6. Each choice should cover a different body system from the 8 systems we are
focusing on.
7. All projects are to be completed individually and turned in neatly.
8. Have fun, and pick the projects that appeal to you!
A- 50 points
Create a brochure/booklet with information about one of the human body systems. Your brochure/booklet should include the name, parts, and function of the system and at least 3 pictures.

B- 25 points
Pick one of the human body systems. Write a one page (front side of a piece of paper) argument that supports why the system you picked is the most important system in the human body.

C- 15 points
Pick any disease that affects humans. Give the name, symptoms, causes, and treatments of the disease. Include at least 1 picture. You must include your references.

D- 50 points
Create a song about a human body system. Your song must have at least 3 verses and a chorus. You must include the function and parts of the system.

E- 25 points
Make a crossword puzzle about human body systems. You may use one system or many systems. You should have at least 15 clues. Please provide an answer key with your puzzle.

F- 10 points
Collect at least 10 facts about alcohol/drug abuse by teens in America. You must include your sources.

G- 50 points
Create a life-size poster of one of the human body systems. Your poster should include the name, functions, and major parts of the system.

H- 20 points
Create a poster collage with images of the human body systems. You must include at least one picture of at least 9 human body systems.

I- 10 points
Find a current event about anything related to human body systems. Write a one paragraph reflection about the article. You must include your sources.

J- 50 points
Write a script for a play about human body systems. You may use one system or many systems. You may write any kind of play that you’d like (comedy, drama, etc), but you must include the names, parts, and functions of the systems you choose.

K- 20 points
Pick one non medical drug and describe how it affects at least 3 human body systems. You must include at least 2 pictures and your references. You may present your information in any format you’d like.

L- 5 points
Write a half page reflection about a time you were sick or injured. Include the body system(s) that were involved, how you were treated, and anything else interesting you remember about the experience.

Grading guidelines for all projects
1. Completeness- 60% of total point value
- To receive full points, you must follow all of the instructions on the front of this page and for the individual assignments you complete.
2. Scientific Knowledge- 30% of total point value
- You will have points deducted from this area if your scientific information is incorrect.
3. Neatness/Creativity- 10% of total point value
- You will be graded on the overall neatness and creativity of your assignments.
