Duties


The Director – Quality Control in the Business Assurance and Compliance Branch is accountable for leading operational activities that confirm the Agency’s quality assurance methods are functional and that information collected supports stakeholder expectation of quality decision making.
You will be responsible for providing leadership and assurance on quality control methodogies and processes to ensure national internal quality assurance is implemented, reported on and that local practice is continually improved. You will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders delivering a program of internal and external reviews that provide important scrutiny and reference points on the effectiveness of the quality framework.
You will have demonstrated exemplary leadership, preferably in a ICT or project environment and superior communication and analytical skills and/or acted as a principal professional advisor.
Duties

  • Manage projects of significance, including the development of implementation plans, timelines, project deliverables, monitoring and reporting on progress of the projects; providing recommendations about risk management, identifying problems and proposing possible solutions

  • Provide regular reporting on conformance with Scheme management controls and on client related trend analysis with a particular emphasis on improving service delivery at the local level and, where relevant, Agency performance and systems at a national level.

  • Inspire and motivate your team to provide timely, quality and innovative services consistent with performance expectations

  • Lead and coordinate the development of tools and methodologies to support quality decision making through the delivery of templates, procedural guidance and support for quality control activities

  • Lead and coordinate the development of performance indicators, metrics and reporting in partnership with stakeholders that provides evidence of quality standards and outcomes.







  • Provide expert advice in regard to broader quality systems and provide input to the Quality and Sustainability activities

Eligibility


Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.
Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.

Please note, this role will be re-located to Geelong, Victoria (National Office) by July 2019. Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

This position will be offered for a specified term of up to 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to three years.


This non-ongoing position may become ongoing. Should the position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
