Calculation of Fine Structure of Even and Odd Configurations of Neutral Niobium Atom
In this study theoretical investigation of the finestructure of neutral niobium (Nb I) element was aimed.
Fine structure calculations of Nb I element with even parity 4d45s, 4d35s2, 4d5, 4d46s and 4d35s6s configurations and with odd parity 4d35s5p, 4d45p, 4d35s6p, 4d25s25p configurations have been done by using multi-configurations fit method.
As a result of the parametric analysis of the fine structure, experimental and theoretical energy levels and Landé g values are found to be coherent. The thoeritical Landé g values for 278 levels which has not been determined experimentally or theoretically is given in this study for the first time.
The transition probabilities in the wavelength interval of 3069 and 5706Å are found theoretically by using the obtained fine structure parameter values. The results are in good agreement with the current studies. The 8 transition probabilites are given in this study in the examined wavelength interval for the first time.
