THE 20TH INTERNATIONAL TAURINE MEETING

MAY 23-27, 2016, SEOUL, KOREA

SPONSORS

Dear Taurine Scientists:
We are pleased to host the 20th International Taurine Meeting (INTAM20) in May 23-27, 2016 at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul, Korea. Since the 1st International Taurine Meeting in Tucson, Arizona, USA in 1975, we have held meetings all over the world, including the United States, Japan, Finland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Germany, Morocco, and Poland. Each meeting has enriched our understanding of the physiological role of taurine, as well as helped to build our wonderful international taurine family.

Although the Seoul meeting will cover many areas of taurine research, our main focus will be on the topic of “Taurine and Brain Health”, which is one of the major areas of taurine research. It is our hope that the taurine research presented during this meeting will contribute to the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of various CNS disorders. Taurine scientists from 15 countries will participate actively in 11 different scientific sessions and experience Korean culture by watching musical performances and visiting historical sites. More information is available at the INTAM20 website, www.taurine2016.org.

I am greatly appreciative of all the participating taurine scientists and the scientific committee members, as well as Seoul Metropolitan Government and Dong-A Pharmaceutical Company for their generous financial supports.
Sincerely,

Ha Won Kim, Ph. D.

Chairman, the 20th International Taurine Meeting
