Accommodation in halls of residence is not provided for fee-paying students. Students stay in private lodgings, in rented rooms or apartments.
Preparatory courses for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy are run in English and German by College International Ltd. and for students preparing for PE courses the faculty provides assistance for the successful completion of the entrance examination. The completion of the course does not imply or assure admission, or dispense with the requirement to sit an entrance examination to the degree programmes.

Eine CD-ROM Sammlung von Daten ist durch das SOTNET Computernetz erreichbar (http:/www.sote.hu/kszerv/kszerve/kk/index.html).Die verschiedenen Einrichtungen (Institute und Kliniken) der Universität haben ihre eigenen Bibliotheken mit insgesamt etwa 250.000 Bänden.

Computerbenutzung: Zugang zum Internet, NEPTUN und E-mail finden die Studenten in der Universitätsbibliothek und im Studentenzentrum.

Freizeit und Sport: Sportzentrum der Universität mit seinen verschiedenen Sektionen:

Hand-, Volley- und Wasserball, Tennis, Fechten, Karate, Schwimmen usw.

Vorbereitungskurs: 2-semestrige Kurse zur Vorbereitung auf das Medizinstudium in den Fächern Biologie, Chemie und Physik-Mathematik werden von College International in deutscher und englischer Sprache durchgeführt.

STUDIUM DER HUMANMEDIZIN

Abschluss: Diplom und Doktortitel „dr. med”. (Damit sind alle fachlichen Voraussetzungen erfüllt, um in Ungarn den ärztlichen Beruf uneingeschränkt ausüben zu können bzw. die Approbation zum Arzt zu erlangen.)

Dauer des Studiums: 6 Jahre (12 Semester)

Im deutschsprachigen Studiengang wird nach Abschluss des zweiten Studienjahres ein Zeugnis über die ärztliche Vorprüfung ausgestellt. Der Wechsel an eine deutsche Universität ist daher gewährleistet.

Grundvoraussetzung für eine Bewerbung für den deutschsprachigen Studiengang ist das Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife. Eine Aufnahmeprüfung gibt es nicht. Lediglich für jene, die nicht über ein Zeugnis der deutschen Allgemeinen Hochschulreife verfügen und deren Muttersprache nicht deutsch ist, findet ein Aufnahmegespräch bzw. eine Aufnahmeprüfung statt.

Da das Studium stark naturwissenschaftlich ausgerichtet ist, werden jene Bewerber bevorzugt, die neben aufzuweisenden Abiturleistungen naturwissenschaftliche Fächer (Physik, Chemie, Biologie oder Mathematik) als Leistungskurs absolvierten; naturwissenschaftliche Fächer an einer Universität belegten bzw. nach dem Gymnasium im Gesundheitswesen tätig waren oder dort ihren Zivildienst abgeleistet haben.

Für eine begrenzte Zahl von Studenten des deutschsprachigen Studienganges für Humanmedizin besteht die Möglichkeit, nach bestandener ärztlicher Vorprüfung (inklusive Absolvation der in der Vorklinik abzuleistenden zahnmedizinischen Propädeutikkurse) auf die Fakultät für Zahnheilkunde überzuwechseln.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME

Name of diploma: M.Ed., Master of Education in Physical Education

Length of study programme: 4 academic years, 8 semesters

Admission requirements: Secondary School Certification from an accredited secondary school;

Physical aptitude test (conditional and coordinational);

The curriculum parallels the standard curriculum found in Hungary and most European physical education programmes. Within the full-time courses, students are taught natural, social and sport sciences, technical and tactical features of various sports and their training methods with appropriate theoretical background. In addition, during the 8 semesters, students gain much valued experience of physical education teaching in school, recreation, hiking, skiing, water sports, etc., through summer, winter and mid-term camps.

HUMAN KINESIOLOGY – REHABILITATION PROGRAMME

Name of diploma: Master of Science in Human Kinesiology - Rehabilitation

Length of study programme: 4 academic years, 8 semesters

Chemistry written test and oral examination.

Graduates of this programme will be familiar with natural and sport sciences and will be able to analyse and apply the principles of human movement structure. In addition, they will be able to collect and analyse scientific data of different movements and activities and study their effects on the human body. Human Kinesiology deals with human movement; it investigates the movement of healthy people for performance improvement and disabled patients, persons with special needs for habilitation, rehabilitation and movement correctional purposes. It examines the laws of the movement of biological systems in their interactions with the external world and in their complexity by natural scientific method. In this way, it is closely related not only to physics and mathematics, but also to anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, orthopaedics, pathology and even psychology. It is generally accepted that kinesiology has its own independent field of research and applies independent methods. Therefore, the qualification can be used in sport science laboratories, health centres, research laboratories of medical institutions, sport centres and clubs, PE and other departments of higher education, institutions in teaching and research positions, fitness-wellness-health centres, etc.
