Answer: Training in frames of self-employment project covers a 12-day (36-hour) period.

Answer: No. Participants in the project will only be provided with the necessary equipment to build their business. The payment for rent is not provided by the project.

Answer: During implementation of the project, at a designated time, supported businesses will be reviewed, challenges will be identified, as well as appropriate support will be provided by responsible experts.

On January 11, 2020, a meeting with beneficiaries was held in Sumgait city. Anar Valiyev - head of Employment activities and unemployment insurance payment affairs sector of the State Employment Service, Kanan Baghirov - chief adviser of the same sector, Elkhan Badalov, director of Sumgait City Employment Center, Employees of Sumgait City Employment Center and registered 29 unemployed and jobseeker citizens of Sumgait city attended the meeting. Question: Can I create agricultural business in Sumgait city?
Answer: Yes. If you have the right conditions for starting a business in agriculture, you can choose the appropriate agricultural package as part of a self-employment program. The main objectives of the project, which will be implemented in partnership with the World Bank, is to help create a business in agriculture, manufacturing, and services. But, creating more manufacturing and service enterprises would be preferable.
2. Question: If I start agricultural business and realize sales of dairy products, will you help me find customers?
Answer: The project will provide you with relevant assets. It is also planned to provide you with marketing and sales consultations during the project.
3. Citizen - Gasimov Yasin
Question: If I apply for furniture production, what kind of assets will I be provided with?
Answer: You can get acquainted with the potential production furniture packages and intended assets for the self-employment program by applying to the Employment Center.

1. Question: How can I get acquainted with existing packages in self-employment program?
Answer: You can get acquainted with the relevant packages and the provided assets for the idea you want to build your business by contacting the local Employment Center.
2. Question: How much money will I get in a self-employment program?
Answer: Participants in the Self-Employment Program are not provided with funding. The project participant will be provided with in-kind assets related to his or her choice. It is not intended to provide any funding to the project participant.

Question: If my field of activity is different and you do not have a suitable asset package for me, can I participate in the project?
Answer: Yes, you must submit your idea to the Employment Center. We will try to provide appropriate support to the service or area you want to start your business in.
Public discussions in the Guba-Khachmaz Economic District
On January 13, 2020, a meeting was held with the beneficiaries from Guba Khachmaz Economic District in Guba. Anar Valiyev - head of Employment activities and unemployment insurance payment affairs sector of the State Employment Service under the MLSPP, Kanan Baghirov - chief adviser of the same sector, Ayaz Gadirov, the Director of the Employment Center of the Gusar District Employment Center, 28 registered unemployed citizens from the regions attended the meeting. During the meeting, Anar Valiyev answered the following questions of citizens:

Question: Can I join the self-employment program for furniture production?
Answer: Yes. You can choose one of the furniture packages available in self-employment program or ask for equipment at your choice.

Question 1: I want to apply for beekeeping. Will I be taught beekeeping?
Answer: When you apply for the Self-Employment Program, you will be enrolled in a business building training course and during this training be provided with relevant business information during this training. my second question Question 2: Will beekeepers be provided with additional equipment?
Answer: No. It is planned to provide 15 bee families to citizens applying for self-employment. In addition, there is no provision of equipment for other beekeeping industries. You should submit your idea and we will evaluate your idea and appropriate equipment could be provided.

Question: My profession is welding and I know my field perfectly. Do I need to join the training?
Answer: Yes. Every project participant must attend training. Training will give you knowledge and skills related to building a business.

Question: Are there trainings on welding and electrical welding? When is the training planned?
Answer: Only business training is provided within the program. Additional skills will be taught under the project.

Question: When can I join the project again if I complete my training and be provided with assets?
Answer: Every citizen can participate in the Self-Employment Program only once.

Question: If I apply for plastic door and window manufacturing, what equipment will be provided to me?
Answer: You can check out the existing equipment package available in self-employment program by visiting the Employment Center in the district you are registered. In addition you may apply for different assets if you justify the business plan.

Question: I am a musician and applying to the self-employment program for music idea. Will the microphone, speaker, synthesizer and other equipment I need be provided in this package?
Answer: Yes. The equipment you need is included in the package. You can find out more by contacting the Employment Center. Also you may apply for specific assets.

A meeting with beneficiaries from the Sheki-Zagatala Economic District was held on January 21, 2020, in Zagatala. Anar Valiyev - Head of Employment activities and unemployment insurance payment affairs sector of the State Employment Service under the MLSPP, and Kanan Baghirov - Senior Advisor of the same sector, Director of the Zagatala District Employment Center Nazim Mammadov, Employees of the Zagatala District Employment Center, as well as Balakan District Employment Center, Sheki District Employment Center, Gakh Employment Center, and 47 working and unemployed citizens from those regions attended the meeting. During the meeting, Anar Valiyev answered the following questions of citizens:

Question: I have a bachelor's degree. I want to participate in this project. In what areas can I build my own small business?
Answer: You must apply to the district Employment center where you are registered to be a part of the self-employment program. As mentioned before, you will be involved in the training course. You will develop a business plan for your idea. You can set up your own business in service, production area or agriculture.
Citizen: Sulcayev Farid
Question: I want to apply in 2020. There are several issues that interest me in this project. My first question is that: who will implement this project? My second question: Can I be involved in this project?
Answer: Yes. You can be provided with assets by participating in a self-employment program implemented in partnership with the World Bank. The project will be implemented by the State Employment Service.

A meeting with beneficiaries of Ganja-Gazakh economic region was held on January 22, 2020 in Ganja. Anar Valiyev - head of Employment activities and unemployment insurance affairs sector of the State Employment Service, and Kenan Bagirov - chief adviser of the sector, Arif Mammadov - director of Ganja-Nizami district Employment Center, Vusal Huseynov - director of Ganja-Kapaz District Employment Center, Nazim Jafarov - director of Goygol district Employment Center, Aydin Gafarli - director of Naftalan district Employment Center, specialists of Employment Centers of Samukh and Kalbajar districts as well as 46 unemployed and jobseeker citizens of those districts attended the meeting. During the meeting, Anar Valiyev answered the following questions of citizens:

Question: My child is sick. I can't work because I take care of him. I am a confectioner. I want to work at home as a confectioner. Can this project support me by taking into account my current situation?
Answer: In order to be eligible for participating in the self-employment program and getting assets, you have to apply to the district Employment Center basing on your district registration.
Taking into account the preference of 4 categories (woman, youth, IDPs and recipients of targeted state social assistance) of citizens in the main vulnerable group in the project, which is implemented jointly with the World Bank, you can benefit from this project and organize home-based confectionery business.
2. Citizen - Zulfiyya Mammadova
Question: I'm a confectioner. I want to build a small business in the confectionery business. Can you help me through this project?
Answer: Yes. You can be provided with assets by participating in the self-employment program. Taking into account the preference of 4 categories of citizens in the main vulnerable group in the project which is implemented jointly with the World Bank, you can benefit from this project and organize home-based confectionery business.

Question: I am a hairdresser. I want to build my own business. Can I get the equipment that I need within this project?
Answer: Yes. You can be provided with assets of “hairdresser” business idea by participating in the self-employment program. Taking into account the preference of 4 categories (woman, youth, IDPs and recipients of targeted state social assistance) of citizens in the main vulnerable group in the project which is implemented jointly with the World Bank, you can benefit from this project and set up home-based hairdressing service.
