As recorded in the meeting reports of the 94th and 95th meetings, it is planned to publish a new edition of MPEG-2 Part 2 after finalization of ISO/IEC 13818-2:2000/DAM 4 (Frame packing arrangement signalling for 3D content). In contribution m19997, the NB of the US included MPEG-2 Part 2 in a request for new editions (along with 13818-1 and 14496-12). In response, WG11 reiterated its plan to produce a new edition upon completion of the ballot for ISO/IEC 13818-2:2000/DAM 4.

The result should be published as integrated text rather than publishing ISO/IEC 13818-2:2000/Amd.4 separately.
