Indicate how and to what extent information and communication technologies and /or open and distance learning will be used in the dissemination of the project results.
The use of new technologies is the core of our project:
Within the project:
development of a web site including some tools such as fora, newsgroup, mailing list, chat rooms for co-operative work, this tool could be reachable for each TN co-ordinator and DG Education and Culture staff as a co-operative work tool (following the Thematic Network Programme Networking action in 1999 during SOCRATES 1)
Web site presenting our activities and the library of pedagogical resources reachable through Internet
Web site presenting the whole TN activity, (following the Thematic Network Programme Networking action in 1999 during SOCRATES 1) as a practical tool both for TN co-ordinators to present the programme inside their HEI (giving a better credibility to the activity and so helping to improve the recognition of the work done by TN co-ordinators and partners by HEIs) and for DG "Education and Culture" to promote the whole TN programme to the EU member states.

This information is included in the work plan. ( please refer to 8.6)
Describe any plans or intentions you may have for establishing links with other projects and / or networks, within Socrates or beyond.
As a parallel action, we will co-operate with other thematic networks in the fields of what we called "Science for engineers" in order to have a more global view, and we will also co-operate with some eventual transversal thematic networks, specialised in ODL and LLL, for instance. Contacts were already established with other Thematic Networks such as:
- Enhancing Engineering Education in Europe (www.ing.unifi.it/tne4)
- THENUCE (Thematic Network on Continuing Education)
- STEDE (Science Teacher Education)
-Contacts and co-operation are already on the way with EUA (European University Association) and the student association (ESIB).
Set out any strategy you may have for seeking to ensure that the activities conducted by the network can be continued when the financial support from Erasmus is reduced or phased out completely (sustainability strategy).
Our partnership relies heavily on the EAEEIE ( European Association for Education in Electrical and Information Engineering). EAEEIE organises one annual conference and na international conference in partnership with ITHET. We are presently testing our sustainability, since we have presently (2003/04) no funding from the Socrates Programme.
8.6 On the basis of the above, provide an overall work plan, preferably in table format. To this end, please:
Divide the project into relevant stages which you envisage in order to produce the project outputs identified;
