The Synthesıs of Some Novel N-, S-, O-, Substıtuted Benzoquınones
The purpose of this study was to investigate the reactions of p-chloranil which is one of the important quinone compounds wide application area with some S-, O-, N- nucleophiles and to synthesize new S-substituted , O-substituted and N- substituted quinone compounds.
In this study, the new substituted-quinone compounds were synthesized by the reactions of S-, O-, N- nucleophiles with haloquinones. 2,3,5,6-Tetrachloro-1,4-benzoquinone (p-chloranil) (1) was used as starting material for synthesis of new quinone compounds.
The new 3-chloro-2,5,6 tris(2-ethyl-hexanethio)-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (2) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with 2-ethylhexane according to synthesis method 2. The new 3-ethoxy-2,5,6 tris(2-ethyl-hexanethio)-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (3) compound was synthesized by reaction of p-chloranil (1) with 2-ethylhexane according to the synthesis method 3. The new 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2,5-dichlorofeniylethio)-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (4) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with 2,5-dichlorobenzenethiol according to the synthesis method 3. The new 2,5-Dichloro-3,6-bis-(6-methoxy-pyridin-3-ylamino)-[1,4]benzoquinone (5) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with 5-amino-2-metoxypiridine according to the synthesis method 1. The new 3-[5-chloro-2-methoxy-4-(2-methoxycarbonyl-ethylamino)-3,6-dioxo-cyclohexa-1,4-dienylamino]-propionic acid methyl ester (6) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with β-alanine methyl ester hydrochloride according to the synthesis method 2. The 3-[2,5-Dichloro-4-(2-ethoxycarbonyl-ethylamino)-3,6-dioxo-cyclohexa-1,4-dienylamino]-propionic acid ethyl ester (7) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with β-alanine ethyl ester hydrochloride according to the synthesis method 4. The new 10,11,22,23-tetrachloro-2,7,14,19-tetrathia-tricyclo[18.4.0.08,13]tetracosa-1(20),8(13),10,22-tetraene-9,12,21,24-tetraone (8), unknown 2,3,4,5,9,10,11,12-octahydro-1,6,8,13-tetrathia-benzo[1,2;4,5]dicyclooctene-7,14-dione (9) compounds were synthesized method 1. The new 3,6 dichloro-2,5 bis(1-(4-nitrophenyl)piperazinily-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (10) compound was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloranil (1) with 1-(4-nitrophenyl)piperazine according to the synthesis method 1.
The novel synthesized quinone compounds were purified by chromatographic methods. The structures of these compounds were determined by using spectroscopic methods (FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS)
