Citizens with reduced mobility and/or their representatives
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
Many recent legal initiatives insist on the importance of “user involvement” in decision making. Especially people with mobility reductions due to disability, age, illness or any other reason - respectively people representing them and/or being in touch with them - express their willingness to be involved in decision making processes. Yet they often do not have the appropriate background knowledge needed for taking influence. The workshop's central object will be the concrete involvement of people with reduced mobility and/or their representatives in planning and decision making processes at municipal level. Each of the 5 workshop days will be divided into 2 kinds of activities: a) visits of particular “targets” in the City of Luxembourg and b) discussion and exchange of opinions on what has been observed and how this particular topic is handled in the countries where the participants live.
