Target Group + Translation:
Seniors over 50 years especially from new EU-countries. Unemployed and economically active people, people who want to get involved in building civil society and increase their mobility and competence, from sectors and social environments who wish to develop their personal skills and increase the mobility not only by traveling in Europe, but also to communicate via modern technologies. Favored will be disadvantaged people, from different discriminated or dangered by social exclusion environments and from the new Member States who by participating in the workshop will be able to profit and accelerate the process of meeting the EU standards. However, the educators as well as other persons interested in the topic of the Workshop are invited to submit their applications, because the organizers would like to combine participants having different backgrounds. It should result in proposal of possibly comprehensive approach. Selection Criteria: motivation, sufficient knowledge of English, basic computer skills, preference: lack of similarity between subjects with occupational skills, wish to engage in the future for/with seniors, wish to multiply the knowledge gained during workshops in own environment.

Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
The workshop "@ctive Senior on the Web" enables seniors to adapt new skills and become well-informed, computer liberated and interested in local and European issues. The attendees will learn how other seniors are involved in various actions over Europe, what kinds of projects have already been initiated and how seniors benefit from them. Seniors will enhance their efficiency and engagement by increasing their computer skills and interpersonal competences. They will learn how to activate other seniors. The participants will acquire additional knowledge and computer skills and using it, they will be able to apply Internet for their own purposes and to improve the quality of their lifes. The seniors will take actively part in the following activities relevant to seniors in a globalizing and networking world:
Seniors in the web:

1. Learning how to use a computer, deal with the world wide web and social media


2. Tools and working methods on the Internet for self-realization and motivation of peers : blog, social network profile on communication forums (Yahoo Communicator, Skype), planning of networks for seniors with help of ICT Seniors in the network of interpersonal interactions:

1. Personal skills, enhancing the reliability of seniors as leaders (workshops for leadership).

2. Team work.

3. Activation of seniors to get involved at the local scale.

4. Creating space for and supporting the creativity.
Seniors in European networks:

1. Workshops to enhance skills of European cooperation.

2. Workshops on intercultural competences, awareness of their own and other cultures.

3. Discussions about the seniors’ situation in Europe.

4. Workshop about creating and funding of European networks

Target Group + Translation:
Adults active in their churches of different denominations and/or those who want to learn more about involvement in environmental work in the spirit of Christian faith. We expect people of different professions and backgrounds and also we will take care to invite Christians from different Churches: catholics, protestants, ortodox and others. We expect participants from UK, Lithuania, Slovenia, Germany, France, Portugal, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland and other European countries. The fact that we (ZIARNO) are preparing the workshop application with a our long-term partner from UK, James Hindson (from Sense and Sustainability Traning, later mentioned as SST) we will have better access to many Christians groups within Anglican, Baptist, Methodist Churches and other groups.

Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
A balanced mix of activities:

a) presentations and lectures of academics and experts with a great knowledge of the subject as well as a passion towards the topic,

b) workshops involving participants to play an active role, thus helping them to understand how to integrate the learning with practical life

c) field trips connected to the topic - observing and learning about the Nature,

d) discussions and exchange of good practice

e) individual and group Bible studies around care for creation aspects

f) worship and prayer sessions prepared by different participants
