The Effects Of Field Parameters And Vibrator Source Arrays To The Seismic Resolution İn Reflectional Seismic Method
In current century oil and natural gas are the key elements of the industry, manufactoring and energy. Oil and gas exploration needs to involve expenses and high technology. Oil and gas reservoirs decrease day by day all over the world. This situation pushes the humanity to explore new reservoirs. Major portion of the earth and %70 of our country has not been explored yet. Parallel to the developments of the technology, oil and gas exploration has been improved, new methods that reduce the cost and risk have been investigated. Seismic reflection is the common used method to define oil and gas traps. Field parameters and vibroseis parameters must be determined right to gather the correct results. Vibroseis is a seismic method where the energy source is a vibrator that generates a controlled wave train for which a sinusoidal vibration with continuously varying frequency is applied. The vibroseis source is widely used in seismic acquisition as it is a non-destructive method with a controllable frequency range and ideally produces a zero-phase wavelet.
Effective field parameters and vibroseis parameters gain cost effective correct results. The effects of field parameters and vibroseis parameters to the seismic record shall be illustrated with the examples.
At the tests results in the field, the vibrators shall be located closer to each other to create theoretically ‘point source array’. By the result of the approach it seems that the higher frequency content of the output data increased.
