Output 1: Interagency South--South/TRC Support Programme
Description: In partnership with other UN agencies, and in consultation with the South African Government, the Country Office will undertake a national process which includes a baseline study to establish government South-South activities, priorities and participating entities. The baseline study will also include review of participating UN agencies’ current activities and comparative advantages. The study is envisaged to inform the INTERAGENCY SOUTH-SOUTH/TRC SUPPORT PROGRAMME TO THE GOVERNMENT OF SOUTH AFRICA. Parallel to this process, the Country Office will continue to support and facilitate national South-South processes through the mainstreaming of South-South within the current Country Office 3 programme areas.
Baseline:
Absence of a coordinated and structured UN South-South support to the Government of South Africa
Indicators:
i) Progress on the development and implementation of the INTERAGENCY SOUTH-SOUTH/TRC SUPPORT PROGRAMME TO THE GOVERNMENT OF SOUTH AFRICA
ii) Extent to which progress has been made in the mainstreaming of South-South in the Country Office 3 programme areas

Develop South-South Cooperation Development Programme
Description
Appoint a consultant to review south-south trends and priorities within the UN, public sector and potential donor partners. In partnership with DIRCO an intern will be identified to support the programme. The consultant is also expected to define the south-south baseline in South AFRICA.
