Objectives of the study 
1.4.1
 
General Objective: 
The main objective of this study is to assess the practices and factors affecting diversity 
management in learning process in Fiche town secondary schools, North shewa zone, Oromia 
regional state, Ethiopia.
 
The specific objectives of this study are:

To analyses the options of teachers on diversity in teaching and learning process in fiche 
town secondary schools 

To examine the current status of diversity management practice in teaching and learning 
process in the study area.

To explore factors affecting the efforts of diversity management in teaching and learning 
process in the study area.
1.5 Significance of the Study 
This study can be used to aware about diversity and diversity management in government 
Secondary schools in students learning process for school society. The information they get from 
the result of this study may stand to reduce the challenges of diversity management in the target 
secondary schools. It also provides framework on how schools could manage diversity. Besides, 
the findings from this study may be used as source of information for the future researchers those 
who might be interested to conduct research in the area. 
1.6 Scope of the Study 
The study is conducted in Fitche Town in three secondary schools. All the schools, which have 
grade nine and ten in the Fitche Town, have been selected in 2020 year. From which, three 
schools are governmental.



1.7 Limitation of the Study 
There are secondary schools in Fitche town. The study is conducted in three secondary schools in 
in Abdisa Aga secondary School, Fitche No 2 Secondary School and Fitche preparatory school. 
The findings to establish most important features that are necessary to enhance the proper. It is 
impossible for the researcher to include all those schools; Due to lack of resources, financial and 
time constraints, the researcher had attempted to observe the problem limited only to a few 
schools in Fitche town. Therefore, additional time was consumed for collecting diversity data to 
conduct the study. Due to this reason, it is difficult to generalize the finding in these selected 
schools directly learning and effectively to represent other schools.
